Jade and Fountain is pleased to announce the appointment of Jill Lee, Julia Kong and Sophie Sha as partners. Jill Lee and Julia Kong will join the firm's Shanghai office and Sophie Sha will join the Beijing office.
Jill Lee has been the leading lawyer on many large corporate investment and restructuring matters in the PRC and the Asia Pacific region for nearly two decades. Prior to joining Jade & Fountain, Jill practiced law with a leading Australian firm and was a partner for 5 years at a large Chinese law firm. Jill's main practice areas are corporate, general commercial and merger and acquisition and her areas of specialty are establishing and restructuring foreign invested enterprises in the PRC and real estate.
Julia Kong benefits from an abundance of experience in general corporate law and has advised leading multi-national companies, major Chinese State-owned enterprises and international private equity funds on numerous projects, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity investment, strategic investment, joint ventures, and inbound and outbound investment. Julia has been admitted to the bar in both New York, U.S.A and in Ontario, Canada. Prior to joining Jade & Fountain, Julia was a senior lawyer at the Shanghai office of Jones Day.
Sophie Sha has a wealth of experience in general corporate and M&A law practice. Sophie also specialises in a range of transactions including infrastructure development, power plants, oil and gas, mining and construction projects, project finance and outbound investment. Prior to the move, Sophie was a senior associate with Baker McKenzie's Beijing office and had served as legal counsel for one of the world's largest energy companies and for a commercial bank listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
